Why Reserve Exists

Some of the most memorable experiences we arranged never belonged on a booking page.

A lunch with a winemaker after the cellar tour had ended. A tasting in a private room usually closed to visitors. A day spent walking the vineyards with the family who farm them.

Conversations turned into invitations, and invitations became experiences that could only happen through trust and relationships.

Reserve grew from those moments. It exists for travellers who want something slower, deeper, and more personal than a standard wine tour.

How is Reserve different from Classic?
Classic is our core collection of private wine experiences at set prices — the simplest way into Portuguese wine. Reserve is the premium tier: smaller groups, rarer regions and estates, deeper access, and the option to design something entirely bespoke. Every Reserve experience is arranged personally and priced on request.
Why are Reserve experiences priced on request?
Because no two are alike. The price depends on your group size, the season, how far we travel and the level of access involved — so rather than publish a figure that rarely fits, we quote precisely for what you want once we've spoken. It begins as a conversation, not a checkout.
How far ahead should I book?
As a guide, reach out at least two weeks ahead — and a little earlier for harvest season in September and October. Larger groups of more than twelve guests need at least three weeks' notice, as the access takes longer to arrange. Whatever your dates, we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Can you arrange multi-day journeys?
Yes — that's exactly what our Bespoke Journeys are for: multi-day programmes across several regions, with private estate access and tastings arranged around your pace, your interests and the level of access you're after. Accommodation and logistics can be guided as part of the planning.
How large can the group be?
Almost any size can be accommodated — from a couple to a larger private party. Reserve is built around intimate groups, but bigger gatherings and corporate parties are welcome; groups of more than twelve simply need at least three weeks' notice so we can secure the access and the table.
Where in Portugal do you operate?
We're based in Lisbon and host experiences across the surrounding wine regions — the Setúbal Peninsula, Colares on the Atlantic coast, and Torres Vedras — with bespoke journeys reaching further across Portugal.
