Discover Portugal

Portugal, one region at a time.

Portugal isn't one wine destination. Every region tells its own story through landscape, climate and the people who shape it. We build our experiences around those places, not around a checklist.

Not one destination

A few regions, known deeply.

From Atlantic vineyards rooted in sand to limestone hills, mountain estates and hidden family wineries, each region is a completely different expression of Portuguese wine. Within an hour of Lisbon in almost any direction, it changes entirely.

We have chosen to work within only a handful, the places where we know the families and the land by name. Quality over quantity, and every day hosted in person.

Why these regions

Not the most famous names, simply the ones we know best.

They aren't Portugal's most famous wine regions. They're the places we've returned to again and again, until the families know us by name. That is what lets us open doors a coach tour never could, and it is why we would rather host a few regions deeply than pass through many.

Good to know

Wine near Lisbon, answered.

Which wine regions are near Lisbon?
Several sit within an easy drive: Setúbal and the Arrábida hills to the south, Colares on the Atlantic coast beside Sintra, and Torres Vedras and Alenquer to the north. Via Vinho works within a chosen handful rather than the whole country.
Which region is best for a wine day trip from Lisbon?
Setúbal is the easiest and most rewarding, around forty minutes south, with Moscatel de Setúbal, family estates and the Arrábida coast all in one relaxed day.
Why does Via Vinho work within only a few regions?
Because our days are built on genuine relationships with the families behind the wine. We would rather know a handful of regions deeply than pass through many. Quality over quantity.

Ready when you are

Fall for a region. We will host the rest.

Whether you're drawn to Atlantic coastlines, historic estates or long vineyard lunches, we'll build a day that feels entirely your own.
