A slower, more generous day in Portugal's Setúbal wine country.

The Setúbal Peninsula sits forty minutes south of Lisbon and produces some of Portugal's most quietly compelling wines — celebrated Moscatel de Setúbal, Atlantic-influenced whites, and reds shaped by limestone, sea air and centuries of family winemaking. Indulgence is built for travellers who want to spend a full day inside it, hosted across two boutique wineries rather than rushing between five.

You'll be picked up door-to-door from Lisbon and met at the gates by the people who make the wine. Long tastings. A regional lunch that takes its time. A walk through the vineyards. The wines you'd never find through a booking platform, and the kind of afternoon that ends with a glass still in hand and no one in a hurry to leave.

★★★★★

"My first time in Lisbon, and I wanted something beyond the usual tourist traps — so glad I tried Via Vinho. Our guide was really knowledgeable, the wine farms were stunning, and I especially loved the delicious lunch paired with wine. Lovely to see that Lisbon isn't just coffee and custard tarts."

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Where does the Setúbal Indulgence wine tour start and end?
Door-to-door from central Lisbon. We pick you up from your accommodation around 9:30am and return you to the same address in the early evening, typically around 6:30pm. The drive to the Setúbal wine region is roughly forty minutes each way.
What's the group size for the Setúbal Indulgence experience?
Private groups of two to seven guests — your party only, never shared. Prefer a shorter outing? Our Sip the Setúbal Story half-day covers the same region.
What's included in the price?
Private door-to-door transport from central Lisbon, two boutique winery visits, in-depth Setúbal wine tastings (Moscatel de Setúbal, regional reds and whites), a long Portuguese regional lunch, expert hosting throughout, and a printed regional map to keep. Estate-floor discounts on wine purchases.
What are the best wineries to visit near Lisbon?
The names at the top of most "best wineries near Lisbon" lists tend to be the big estates set up for coach tours. We go a quieter way — to the family-run producers most visitors never find, such as Casa Ermelinda Freitas, Fernão Pó and Venâncio Costa Lima, where you taste with the people who actually make the wine. Two estates per day, on the Setúbal Peninsula about forty minutes south of Lisbon, chosen by season and availability.
Can I do a combined food and wine tour?
Yes — food and wine go hand in hand all day. Alongside the tastings, Setúbal Indulgence includes a long regional lunch of traditional Portuguese cuisine matched to the wines. It's as much about the table as the cellar.
